My research interests lie in robotics, image processing, and computer vision. These include the development of medical robots, and imaging techniques for image-guided procedures. I am currently an Assistant Professor in Zhejiang University/ University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (ZJU-UIUC) Institute. Before this, I worked on vision-guided micromanipulation system with Singapore University of Technology and Design in collaboration with MIT. While pursuing my Ph.D. in the University of Tokyo, I worked on 3D image mapping for ultrasound image-guided fetoscopic procedures. I also worked extensively on robotics projects involving hardware design and motion control system when I was a research engineer in the National University of Singapore.
