Bio
Liang He (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in renewable energy engineering and the B.Eng. degree in industrial design from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, China, in 2015, the M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in product design and management from the University of Liverpool, Liverpool, U.K., in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in robotics from Imperial College London, London, U.K., in 2021, with several high-profile publications and awards.
From 2017 to 2020, he was a Key Researcher in the EPSRC Motion and RoboPatient projects, where he developed virtual simulators and wearables for medical training. From 2021 to 2023, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Oxford Robotics Institute, Oxford, U.K., with the Embodied Intelligence Program, where he conducted research in soft robotics for healthcare applications. In 2023, he joined the Podium Analytics Institute for Youth Sports Medicine and Technology, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oxford, Oxford, as an Associate Professor to investigate robotics/AI solutions for sports medicine.
