Dr. Li-Wei Liu is an assistant professor rank research fellow in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. degree from NPUST in 2021; the title of his dissertation is "Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Based Crop Growth Environment Monitoring System Development - A Demonstration of Development and Integration on Rice Growth Rate Modeling, Rice Blast Occurrence Forecasting, and Field Capacity Simulation". His expertise includes water resources management, hydrology, precision agriculture, remote sensing, and water-saving irrigation on rice. He was funded by Taiwan's government as a visiting scholar at Texas A&M University for smart rice production research. From 2018 to 2022, he has published 7 SCI, 1 Scopus, and 8 conference papers as the first, second, or corresponding author, and conducted 6 projects as PI or co-PI.
