I am an anthropologically trained archaeologist with an expertise in zooarchaeology. My research centers on the archaeology of two revolutionary socioeconomic transformations of societies in Southwest Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean—the Neolithic Revolution and the Urban Revolution. My research covers the full spectrum of human-animal interactions from hunting to taming to large-scale management and industrial production of animals diachronically from the Epipaleolithic to the Bronze Age.
