Bio
Leonardo Turchen is Ph.D. in Entomology at Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV). He is particularly interested in the vibration sensing and communication of insects, as well as likely implications for applied entomology. Prior to starting a Ph.D., Leonardo completed an MSc (Entomology) and a BSc (Agricultural), where have the opportunity of working with animal behavior (behavioral syndromes and traits of personality of insects), and also, stress-induced by pesticides (including biorational) on insect-pest and natural enemies. His interests are focused on animal behavior and ecotoxicology, but also is an enthusiast in microcontrollers for building digital devices using the C++ language, statistics with R, scientific illustrations, and photographs.
