Bio
Léonard Bolduc (M'96–SM'01) received the B.Sc.A. degree in engineering physics and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Université Laval, Québec City, QC, Canada, in 1970 and 1973, respectively.
He joined the High Power Department of the Institut de recherche d'Hydro-Québec (IREQ) in 1975. He has been involved in different theoretical and physical developments such as subharmonics ferroresonance damping, frequency-response-of-stray-losses diagnosis method for transformer winding displacement, self-regulating variable inductors; and capacitive-coupling systems for feeding medium-power demand (${\le 2})$ MW). His main fields of interest and research are transformers, including the effects of direct currents on transformers and the power system in general.
Dr. Bolduc is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
