Lei Zhang received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of East Anglia, U.K., in 2008 and 2014, respectively. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in computer science with the University of Lincoln. He is a member of the Laboratory of Vision Engineering (LoVE) Research Group. He has expertise in landing AI techniques (computer vision and machine learning) for clinical applications to address challenging problems in the field of health care. He has been involved in many multidisciplinary projects. He played a key role in developing various AI-based applications in various Innovate U.K., EPSRC, BBSRC, and CRUK-funded research projects. His research interests include artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning in health care and multimedia understanding through semantics, computation, and learning.
