Leena Jarvi

My research interest is urban climate and weather using multiple state-of-the art methods varying from eddy covariance observations to urban land surface modelling and large eddy simulations. My specific research interests are how urban vegetation affects urban greenhouse gas emissions, local climatology and hydrology, and how vegetation should be described in urban models; Urban air quality and its interaction wit local meteorology using observations and LES ; Surface energy balance and hydrological cycle in cold climate cities.
