He received the B.S. degree in physics from the University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece, and the M.S. degree in physics and the Ph.D. degree in nanoscale science and engineering, both from the University at Albany—State University of New York, Albany, NY, USA, in 1995, 2001, and 2004, respectively. Since 2004, he has been with IBM—Microelectronics Division at East Fishkill, New York, NY, USA, and Albany, NY, USA, researching semiconductor manufacturing and research and development. His past work includes developing semiconductor materials and structures, CMOS FEOL, BEOL, and FBEOL unit process development with emphasis on insulator and lithography processes. Since 2008, he has been focusing on wafer-scale 3-D integration. His current research interests include 3-D integration, chemical vapor deposition and spin coating of insulating, and photosensitive materials. He has authored over 40 publications, three inventions, and over 40 invention disclosures and applications. He is also a member of several industry advisory boards for science and engineering higher education institutions and has a keen interest in developing learning modules for science and engineering, with emphasis on semiconductor technology and nanotechnology. His awards and honors include the Frew Fellowship (Australian Academy of Science), the I. I.
