The most significant accomplishments for R.E. Laxdal include:
1) Growing the superconducting radio-frequency (SRF) discipline into a core competence of TRIUMF
2) Developing the cavities and cryomodules for the ARIEL e-Linac to successful conclusion
3) Designing, developing and completing the Drift Tube Linac and ISAC-II heavy ion linac
4) Initiating the SRF student program - with students and post-docs receiving training unique in Canada
5) Utilizing the muSR facility as a facility to characterize SRF cavity materials
6) Mentoring PAVAC as a producer of SRF cavities and technology for global markets.
