Laurent Arnaud

Laurent Arnaud received the Engineering degree in physics and materials science from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, Lyon, France, in 1993 and the Ph.D. degree in geophysics/geosciences from the Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France, in 1997. Since 2000, he has been a Research Engineer with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). From 2000 to 2005, he was with the Laboratoire de Spectrométrie Ionique et Moléculaire, where he was in charge of new developments on high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometers and Transmission Electron Microscopy analysis of analysis of metallic cluster landed on surfaces. Since 2006, he has been with the Laboratoire de Glaciologie et Géophysique de l'Environnement, Grenoble. His current research interests concern the temporal and spatial variations of snow and firn cover. His work is mainly focused on development of new instruments and remote station engineering to characterize physical and mechanical properties of polar snow and firn.
