Bio
I am an Instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. My research is broadly focused on enhancement of assessment and intervention for youth with chronic pain and their families, with a particular interest in enhancing interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation approaches and the development of effective and scalable digital interventions. I am also an Attending Pain Psychologist in the Pediatric Pain Management Clinic at Stanford Children's Health where I work with youth and families in our intensive interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation program.
I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Eastern Michigan University (2013-2018) and my Clinical Residency at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. I completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. My current work as an Instructor is funded primarily (80%) by a K23 Early Career Research Development Award through the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases at the National Institute of Health.
I am available for consulting on digital therapeutics and healthcare implementation, and for public speaking related to the understanding, assessment, and treatment of pediatric chronic pain.
