Laura Matthews

My research investigates nuclear receptor (NR) biology in health and disease. I have particular interest in how NR signals are integrated, how the inflammatory cellular microenvironment influences their processing and how altered NR function drives cancer. Using a combination of in vitro models, pre-clinical in-vivo systems and ex-vivo human tissues, the aim of my research is to identify new therapeutic approaches to more effectively target NRs.
