Bio
Laura Climent has participated in several Spanish and Irish Research Projects. She supervised a Ph.D. thesis with University College Cork. As a result, she has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications in conferences and journals. Her research is within the area of combinatorial optimisation and decision analytics. Her research lies in constraint programming, mixed integer linear programming, metaheuristics and Boolean satisfiability for solving, among others, sustainability problems and problems with uncertainty. She also works in the combination of these approaches with data mining and machine learning. In her research, she has dealt with problems, such as the cutting stock problem, vehicle routing problem and scheduling; with real-life applications, such as trains timetabling and forestry harvesting. She has been a Reviewer of several international conferences and journals. She also served as the Program Chair of the Doctoral Program of the Prestigious CP Conference (CORE A).
