I specialize in the application of radiogenic isotope systems (U-Pb, Pb-Pb, Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd) to a wide variety of geological problems related to crust/mantle evolution through time. Current research projects include unravelling the timing of igneous, metamorphic and deformational events in complex Precambrian orogenic belts such as the Trans Hudson and Grenville orogenic, investigating the Isotopic architecture of the subcontinental mantle using both kimberlites (plus entrained xenoliths) and alkaline magmatism associated with intracontinental rifting as mantle probes, and global correlation of large igneous provinces as constraints for supercontinentreconstructions.
