Characteristics
Ing. Lívia Mačák - is postgraduate of FMMR. Currently, she is a student in the 2nd year of PhD. study at the Institute of Materials and Quality Engineering. Her work deals with the issue of preparing nanoparticles of rare metals (Ag, Au) by biological (green) and chemical methods. The thesis of her dissertation is "The synthesis of nanoparticles of noble metals and preparation of polymer matrix composites doped by nanoparticles of noble metals". She has adequate laboratory skills, she manages basic analytical techniques for evaluating colloidal solutions (UV-vis spectrophotometer, determining the pH and conductivity of solutions, preparing samples for FTIR analysis, etc.). She has also experience in evaluating the toxic and antibacterial properties (solutions and bulk materials).
