My research areas include neuroscience, endocrinology, physiology, salmon smoltification, sustainable aquaculture and welfare assessment. Current projects include regulation of neural plasticity; molecular and functional relationships between environmental stressors, neural plasticity, and learning and memory; identification of fish robustness indicators; environmental impacts on fish brain development and function; functional regulation of deep-brain photoreceptors and downstream consequences.
