Luca Lelli

Luca Lelli received the Dr.rer.nat. degree in atmospheric optics and physics from the University of Milan, Milan, Italy, and the Free University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 2007, for operating the LIDAR station and developing algorithms to retrieve the size distribution of urban aerosols, and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Environmental Physics and Remote Sensing, University of Bremen, Bremen, Germany, in 2013, for endeavoring the spaceborne retrieval of cloud properties and the global assessment of their trends, from the measurements of the oxygen A-band by the GOME/GOME-2 and SCIAMACHY spectrometers. Since 2013, he has been involved in radiative transfer research and algorithm development within the L2 Working Groups for Tropospheric Ozone-Monitoring Instrument and Ultra-Violet/Visible/Near-Infrared sensors onboard the Sentinel 5-P and Sentinel 4 platforms. Dr. Lelli was a recipient of the European Space Agency Living Planet Fellowship 2015 with topic, the long-term assessment of aerosol-cloud interactions from satellite measurements.
