My research focuses on desiccating the biological pathways involved in the role of stress in the pathogenesis of mental and physical illnesses and in the stress-related biological mechanisms of antidepressant drugs. More specifically it revolves around two major themes: 1. Investigating new immune-related biomarkers of stress-induced chronic and physical illnesses. 2. Targetting immune-related biomarkers for their potential antidepressant effects.
