个人简介
My primary research interests cover a wide range of disciplines including soil and gas geochemistry, geochemistry of natural waters, hydrocarbon geochemistry, geodynamics, sedimentology and volcanology. I study major and trace elements in soils, plants and moss bags in order to understand processes and mechanisms for the transfer of conventional and emerging contaminants from the environment (as a complex of atmosphere, soil, sediment, inland waters and sea matrices) to ecosystem and to humans. My research is also focused on both gas and environmental geochemistry, involving radiogenic and non-radiogenic isotopes, noble and greenhouse gases and light volatile organic compounds for the purpose of determining the origin of the gases and the post-genetic processes that are affecting them as well as their impact on the environment and human health. Obtained results are incorporated into the regional geologic framework to better understand the mechanisms and the processes that are taking place in the crust and mantle within the context of plate tectonics. The combination of different methods and geochemical proxies are some of the ways that I like to approach scientific questions.
