Kyoung Hyun Kwak

Kyoung Hyun Kwak received the B.S. degree from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 2008, and the M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Research Scientist with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan–Dearborn. His research interests include thermodynamic systems and their applications in vehicles. In particular, he is interested in looking into modeling and control of vehicle thermal and energy management systems of electric vehicles and internal combustion (IC) engines, including cabin climate control, thermal comfort, regenerative braking, cooling systems, and IC engine combustion modeling.
