Bio
She is enthusiastic and knowledgeable in various areas of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) process engineering and design; fouling, cleaning and adding value to by-products; yeast, fermentation, adhesion and biofilm. She has worked at the academic-industrial interface for many years in several areas including drink: brewing and cider production; food: cereal and bread manufacture; automotive: paint and transfer technologies; and oral care: toothpaste and mouthwash. She has published technical book chapters and peer reviewed papers, one of which won best paper at Fouling and Cleaning in Food Processing 2010 (Jesus College, Cambridge University). Her work has been featured in Food Manufacture, the Heineken magazine, and Birmingham University Alumni pages.
