Career Trajectory
Bio
Koji Otsuka received his Ph. D. from Kyoto University in 1986. After receiving the JSPS Fellowship for Young Scientists, he joined Osaka Prefectural College of Technology as a senior lecturer followed by as an associate professor. In 1995 he moved to Himeji Institute of Technology as an associate professor of the Terabe Lab until 2002. He joined the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University in 2002 as a full professor. His research interests include the development of micro/nano scale high performance separation techniques using electrophoretic and chromatographic methods. He has published approximately 150 manuscripts and book chapters, cited over 6300 times. He received the Award of the Society for Chromatographic Sciences (2006) and the Chemical Society of Japan Award for Creative Work (2009). He is a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of HPLC Symposium series. Previous chairmanships, HPLC2008 Kyoto; APCE2006; MSB Kobe.
