Md Kamrul Hasan is in the first year of the Ph.D. program in Pharmacy, pharmacognosy, and ethnopharmacology specialty at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universidade de Lisboa. Under this scope, it is planned to develop an international and cooperative research project entitled "Pharmacognostic characterization and pharmaceutical development of Bengal herbal medicines for topical hemorrhoids treatment." Since 2019, he has completed with success six postgraduate courses at FFUL, namely Epidemiology Research in Drug Lifecycle (2019), Molecular Biomarkers and Technologies (2019), Non-Clinical Efficacy and Safety (2020), Advanced Analytical Tool: Multiple Applications for Mass Spectrometry (2020), and the Theoretical and Practical course - SPCAL of Category B of Sciences in Laboratory Animals (2020-2021). He earned his M.Sc. in 2014 from the Zoology Department, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, with a classification of 3.66/4. His master thesis, Avian Diversity of the Beels of the Mohonpur and Durgapur Upazilla, Rajshahi, Bangladesh," was completed under the "Animal Conservation" project funded by the University of Rajshahi. His Master of Science has already been recognized by the "Instituto Politécnico de Bragança" in the Portuguese education system via DGES according to Law No. 66/2018, with a grade of 18/20 values (Accreditation 220220154391). He earned his B.Sc. degree in 2013 with the final dissertation titled "Control Potentials of Hyptis suaveolens L. (Poit.) extracts against Artemia salina nauplii and Tribolium castaneum adults". During his student carrier at FFUL and the Crop Protection and Toxicology Laboratory of the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, he developed skills concerning the principal botanical, chemical, biological, and pharmacological methods of study of medicinal plants, including macro and microscopic analysis, conventional extraction, and chromatographic methods, hyphenated techniques like LC-UV/DAD-MS-MS and biological and pharmacological activity evaluation methods. He has experience in animal conservation and conservation biology. He attended different training courses such as the IUCN course "Red List Assessor Training (5th)" devoted to animal conservation; the course "Database programming" from Karigori Proshikkon Academy; the Advanced Program in "Graphic Designing" from Anudip Foundation Skill and Career development", and the "Outdoor photography guide." He is the author and co-author of 15 scientific papers in plant and animal science in national and international journals and has presented 5 posters at national and international conferences. Among this publication recent 2 articles are published in "Informatics in Medicine Unlocked" under ELSEVIER and "Plants" under MDPI considered as a high impact factor journal. He co-authors the book "Avifaunal Diversity of Bangladesh: Jaipurhat and Naogaon district," LAP Lambert Academic Publishing (2021).
