Current research activities carry the common headline "Biophysics".
Research on mechanical properties of biomimetic cell models, viscoelastic properties of cells , optical trapping and stretching (experimental and theoretical work), most recently with the aim to include quantum technology for sensing purposes
Research on osmotically driven flows, inspired by sap flow in plants, microfluidics (experimental and theoretical work)
Research on flow near structured surfaces, in particular dermal denticles of shark skin
Previous research activities in laser cooling and trapping of atoms, cold atomic gases (theoretical work)
