个人简介
I hold a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from The University of Hull, UK, in 2004 after completing my tertiary education from Singapore.
Interspersed these qualifications, I worked as a product test engineer at Tech Semiconductor (Singapore) Pte Ltd and later joined Advanced Micro Devices (Singapore) Pte Ltd as a product engineer.
I have been involved in projects from initial scientific research and development through to final device testing. My main research interest has been on developing and characterising state of the art optoelectronic devices for next generation photonic applications. This has included materials and devices based on silicon and other novel compound semiconductors e.g. group III-V and III-nitride. I have also studied the optical properties of chemically functionalised carbon nanotubes, 2D layered nanomaterials e.g. graphene oxide and transition metal dichalcogenides and metal oxide semiconductor nanoparticles coated with organic ligands.
My most recent experience was with The University of Warwick undertaking research in the design and development of a novel gas sensing technique for detection and quantification of hydrocarbon species formed from catalytic reactions inside a gas/solid catalytic reactor in the mid-infrared spectral range.
