Kenneth Gundle

Passionate about caring for patients with benign and malignant musculoskeletal tumors, I am an orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty of musculoskeletal oncology. I believe that what we measure is what we improve - this applies both to assessing outcomes that matter most to patients, and to how we train healthcare professionals of the future. My research is focused on the large-scale clinical data of the Veterans Healthcare Administration databases, looking at metastatic bone disease and other topics. I'm a founding member of the Portland VA Clinical Data Science Research Group, and a surgeon-coder primarily using R and SQL.
