Dr. Hinrichs' research efforts include diagnostic and clinical health areas, such as:
* Equine reproductive management
* Reproductive medicine
* Embryo transfer
* Reproductive surgery
Past research includes:
• Use of time-lapse imaging to evaluate morphokinetics of in vitro equine blastocyst development
• Effect of intra-ovarian injection of mesenchymal stem cells in aged mares
• Equine fetal genotyping via aspiration of yolk-sac fluid at 22-28 days of gestation
• Intrafollicular oocyte transfer in the horse
• Conventional vs. Piezo ICSI in the horse: delayed sperm component remodeling and oocyte activation
• Vitrification of germinal-vesicle stage equine oocytes
• Culture of somatic cells isolated from frozen-thawed equine semen using fluorescence-assisted cell sorting
• Accuracy of preimplantation genetic diagnosis in equine in vivo-recovered and in vitro-produced blastocysts
• Cell lineage allocation in equine blastocysts cultured in varying glucose concentrations
