个人简介
Professor Kate Pumpa is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Accredited Sports Dietitian who teaches Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition at University College Dublin. Kate completed her PhD at the Australian Institute of Sport in 2008 before consulting as a Sports Dietitian to Leinster Rugby Club in 2008-2009. Kate returned to a teaching/research position at The University of Canberra in 2010, where she remained until December 2022. Kate has extensive experience working with high performance athletes, holding positions such as the Performance Dietitian for the Rugby Australia Wallabies, Wallaroos and Junior Wallabies, Brumbies Rugby and Leinster Rugby, Ireland, and Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence athletes. Kate's primary research interests include utilising technology to monitoring energy expenditure during exercise, nutrition interventions to enhance athletic performance, sleep, and health. She is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport and on the editorial board of Nutrients. In 2022, Kate graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors course, and has gained experience as an active board member on the University of Canberra's Council from 2020-2022 inclusive.
