Bio
Dr Kangbéni Dimobe is a Lecturer and researcher (Plant Ecology and Conservation Biology) at the University of Dedougou in Burkina Faso. He holds academic degrees in Botany, Applied Plant Biology, and Plant Ecology from reputable educational institutions in Togo, Burkina Faso, and Germany.
Kangbéni previously worked for WASCAL as an associate researcher from June 2017 to December 2019. His research interests include the fields of Biogeography, climate change, conservation biology, ecosystem services, forest estimation, functional ecology, GIS & Remote Sensing.
Apart from research, he is actively involved in capacity development, especially using open-access earth observation data and software to address environmental change problems. Kangbéni has authored and co-authored more than sixty publications, including journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, and reviews for over fourteen international peer-reviewed journals in diverse fields.
