Bio
Dae Joon Kang received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K., in 1999.
In 2005, he joined Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, Korea, where he is currently an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department, after spending ten years in Cambridge. His current research interests include synthesis and characterization of novel metal oxide system so as to develop new types of nanodevices. He has been actively working on a wide spectrum of projects from solid-state devices to bionanotechnology to nanofabrication in collaboration with industry such as Samsung. He has published over 80 science journal papers and 13 international conference proceedings on a wide range of nanofabricated devices and novel materials. He has given several invited and contributed talks in U.K., Asia, Europe, USA—Trends in Nanotechnology 2003 (keynote lecture), etc.
Dr. Kang has been on the Editorial Board of Nanotechnology published by the Institute of Physics, U.K. since 2005.
