His research interests include evolutionary genetics, structural variation, and prostate cancer. He works on deep whole genome sequencing data for tumour-blood interrogation and multi-omic biochemical correlations while merging biochemical and multi-omic data with global genomic resources through the Pan Prostate Cancer Group (PPCG). For prostate cancer, He performs metagenomic analysis in high-risk prostate tumors from African men and develop data management system for southern African prostate cancer study. In next step, he would work on identifying mutational signatures of persistent endocrine disrupting pollutants driving aggressive prostate cancer across the globe and discovering genomic signatures to determine the impact of DDT exposure during the 40's to late 80's on increased incidence rates of prostate cancer. The ultimate objective is to reduce the burden of aggressive prostate cancer and associated mortalities globally.
