Bio
Kai Gao was born in Xi’an, China in 1975. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1997, 2000 and 2002 respectively, from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. From 2003 to 2012, he worked at the East China Electric Power Research Institute in Shanghai. He is now the Chief Engineer of the Equipment Status Evaluation Center of State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Research Institute, Shanghai 200437, China.
His research interests include the state evaluation, condition based maintenance, defect detection, condition monitoring of power grid equipment.
