个人简介
Kenan Niu (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (cum laude) in biomedical engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2011 and 2013, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in biomechanical engineering from the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands, in 2018.
During his studies, he specialized in medical image processing and surgical navigation. After his Ph.D., he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the imec-Vision Laboratory, University of Antwerp, Antwerp, Belgium, in 2019, and with the Robot-Assisted Surgery Group, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, from 2020 to 2022. He has been an Assistant Professor with the Robotics and Mechatronics (RAM) Group, University of Twente, since May 2022. His research interests encompass various areas, including robotic imaging, robotic orthopedic surgery, robotic ultrasound imaging, surgical navigation, and augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR).
