In soil fertility and chemistry research, the focus is on the diagnosis and management of plant nutrient deficiencies with emphasis on secondary and micronutrient disorders in farmers' production systems in the semi-arid regions of Asia and Africa. Develop rapid and accurate methods for routine soil and plant analysis. Strengthen analytical research support for providing quality, high volume analyses of soil, water, plant, fertilizer, crop and other miscellaneous samples.
