个人简介
Krista Lyn Harrison, PhD, is an interdisciplinary social scientist focused on improving systems of care for older adults with dementia and other serious illnesses who live in home- and community-based settings by transforming clinical practice, health systems, and health policy. Her expertise includes qualitative and quantitative research methods, gerontology, palliative and hospice care, health policy ethics, implementation science, and the translation of research to policy.
Dr. Harrison is an Associate Professor in the Division of Geriatrics and the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies (IHPS) within the UCSF Department of Medicine; she is also an Atlantic Senior Fellow for Equity and Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute. She serves as Co-Lead of the Vulnerable Aging Research Core within the Claude D. Pepper Older American Independence Center.
Dr. Harrison completed a PhD in Bioethics and Health Policy & Management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, postdoctoral training in aging research, implementation science, and brain health at UCSF; and a bachelors at Williams College. Dr. Harrison previously contributed to national program evaluations at Mathematica Policy Research and served as Director of Research and Education at a large community-based non-profit hospice and palliative care organization.
