个人简介
My interest in condensed matter has always focused on studying the dynamics of mobile ions in materials with disordered structures. In my experimental work, quasielastic neutron scattering and conductivity spectroscopy soon emerged as the methods of choice and have, therefore, been widely employed. In my modelling, linear response theory has been used consistently in order to transform the solutions of simple rate equations into model spectra, which could then be compared with the experimental ones. Over the years, a continuous improvement in modelling led to a series of 'jump relaxation' models. It thus became possible to reproduce and understand what Jonscher had termed 'universal dynamic response'. This (thermally activated) behaviour is now called 'first universality', while the (non-activated) behaviour encountered at low temperatures, known as 'nearly constant loss', is now termed 'second universality', see some of the more recent papers in the list below. To keep the length of the list manageable, it is restricted to publications in which I am either the only author or the first.
