His research interests are in sensor array processing, source localization, subsurface object detection, wireless communications and adaptive processing. Ho has published over 130 journal papers and 170 conference articles. He was active in the ITU-T standard developments, and served as an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and IEEE Signal Processing Letters. He was the chair of Sensor Array and Multichannel Processing Technical Committee of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, and a technical chair of the 2016 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing. He has received the junior faculty research award, the senior faculty research award and the teaching award. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
