Bio
My aims of research fit in molecular virology and evolution. More precisely I study molecular processes and determinant associated to RNA virus virulence and their adaptation to host resistance and defense mechanisms. During my PhD, I studied a recently-characterized ubiquitous viral protein property, termed protein intrinsic disorder, and established its involvement in a plant RNA virus virulence and adaptability. My work lead to the first experimental demonstration of the positive influence of viral protein intrinsically disordered regions on virus adaptive ability.
