Bio
Justin F. Beckers (S’13) received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees in earth and atmospheric sciences from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada, in 2009 and 2012, respectively, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.
He has participated in numerous field campaigns in the High Arctic including IPY, the Canadian Arctic Sea Ice Mass Balance Observatory, the CryoSat Validation Experiment, the Norwegian Polar Institute, the Alfred Wegener Institute, and Antarctica New Zealand. His research interests include measurements of physical properties of sea ice, lake, and snow using ground, airborne, and satellite data.
