The George Lab is broadly interested in the regulation of brain gene expression and its influence on development, cognition, and neurological disease. A current focus of the lab is understanding how exposure of embryonic zebra finches to parental vocalizations (“heat calls”) leads to developmental reprogramming to foster adaptation to hotter ambient temperatures.
