Bio
Research Associate in Agronomy, Judith Honfoga is working at World Vegetable Center since 2017. She is well experienced in vegetables production and protection using Good Agricultural Practices with a total of 12 years of background. She is currently leading two projects namely NUTRIFOOD (funded by UKRI) and PADMAR (funded by IFAD) which are currently running to their end with successful results. She has valuable assets in research project proposal writing and participated to the writing team of several projects. She is involved in some varieties screening experimentations for the selection of varieties with better resistance to pests and diseases, or good commercial values. Before joining World Vegetable Center, she worked within the National Agricultural Research Center as research assistant in the vegetables research flagship, where she carried out several research activities and managed two small projects with useful results for farmers. She has worked also in the food and Agriculture organization as consultant, where she put in service her knowledge for school garden promotion for better students feeding. She has published 08 papers containing great information that can propel research work in agricultural area and 09 technical sheets for easy and better production of some vegetables
