Juan Melchor

I hold a degree in Mathematics and Master degree in Biomathematics from University of Granada (Spain) and I worked as Biostatician and Mathematician for EASP (Andalusian of Public Health School) during three years. On 01/05/2008, I started to work with RARECARE team (supported by the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (EAHC) of the European Commission) contributing to definition of rare cancers and developing a data mining study of quality control process. In parallel to this, I collaborated with the University of Granada in a project of control and tumour growth, using PDE's and evolution models supervised by Dr. Soler. In 2016 I defended my PhD in Structural Engineering at the Department of Structural Mechanics of University of Granada (Nonlinear ultrasound in tissue), with stays of research at the University of Manchester (Applied Mathematics) and UPMC Paris (Faculty of Medicine), under the supervision of Dr. Rus, and focusing on tissular engineering and their applications to biomedical fields combining Biostatistics and Biomathematics modeling. Finite elements methods, optimization, probabilistic inverse problem, biomechanical structures, nano-particles for theranostic, and damage modeling using ultrasound are topics I am working actually as assistant professor at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research in the Biostatistics Unit (University of Granada).
