Bio
Juan Manuel Escaño received the B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering in 1990, M.Eng in Control Engineering in 2002, M.Sc in Advanced Control & Robotics and Ph.D. in 2015 in University of Seville, Spain. He is Associate Professor at the Department of Systems Engineering and Automatic Control of University of Seville. He has been Associate Professor at Universidad Loyola Andalucía in Seville (Spain), Group leader and research fellow at the Nimbus Centre for Embedded Systems Research at Cork Institute of Technology (Ireland) and Advanced Process Control Engineer at Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. His research interests include Fuzzy Systems and Model Predictive Control, Fault detection and Fault Tolerant Systems. He is Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), member of the International Federation on Automatic Control (IFAC), the European Society of Fuzzy Logic and Technology (EUSFLAT) and the International Society of Automation (ISA).
