Joshua Rume Sangoro, born in 1982 studied physics, mathematics and pedagogy at Kenyatta University (2000 — 2003) and was awarded Bachelor's degree with honors after which he proceeded to study Environmental Physics with particular emphasis to numerical modeling and simulation of transport in water resources which culminated in Master of Science degree from the same university. Afterwards he joined department of Molecular Physics at the University of Leipzig where he is in the final stages of completing his PhD research on “Charge transport and dynamic glass transition in ion conducting liquids” under the tutelage of Prof. Dr. Friedrich Kremer. The research interests of Sangoro include: broadband dielectric spectroscopy, charge transport in glass-forming systems, interfacial effects, molecular dynamics under confinement, and numerical modeling of transport in porous systems. Sangoro likes singing classical choral music and has been called upon on several occasions to serve as an adjucator at a number of music festivals.
