Bio
Joshua Rapp (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University, Medford, MA, USA, in 2014, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Boston University, Boston, MA, in 2016 and 2020, respectively.
He was a Doctoral Fellow with Draper, Cambridge, MA from 2015 to 2019 and a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, from 2020 to 2021. He is currently a Research Scientist with Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Cambridge, MA. His research interests include computational imaging, optical sensing, lidar, and statistical signal processing.
Dr. Rapp is a member of Optica, SIAM, Eta Kappa Nu, and Tau Beta Pi. He was the winner of the 2021 Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society and the 2020 Best EE Dissertation Award from Boston University. His work also the recipient of the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing in 2018 and a Young Author Best Paper Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society in 2020.
