Bio
Dr. Goldstein has dedicated his career to multidisciplinary work integrating neurology, hematology, neurocritical care, neuroradiology, and emergency medicine. He has served on the Program Committee for the International Stroke Conference, the American Heart Association annual meeting, and the American Heart Association Get-With-The-Guidelines Stroke clinical workgroup. He was editor of the textbook Neurologic Emergencies and codirects an annual course on Neurologic Emergencies.Currently, Dr. Goldstein manages a large extramurally funded research program focused on neurologic emergencies and anticoagulation management. His program has been continually NIH funded for over 10 years, as well as receiving foundation and industry funding. Dr. Goldstein has received numerous awards including the SAEM Young Investigator Award for his research and the Harvard Emergency Medicine Residency’s Outstanding Attending award for his teaching and clinical care. He has served as an invited speaker at many national and international forums. Finally, he has published over 150 original research articles and over 50 reviews and book chapters.
