Joshua Hihath

Joshua Hihath (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Kettering University, Flint, MI, USA, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA. He previously worked as an Assistant Research Professor with the Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors, Biodesign Institute, Arizona State University. He is currently an Associate Professor and the Vice Chair of Undergraduate Studies with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California at Davis, Davis, CA, USA. His work is centered at the nexus of engineering, physics, chemistry, and biology. This work focuses on understanding the electrical and mechanical properties of nanoscale and molecular systems, and has three primary thrusts: developing a fundamental understanding of charge transport and energy conversion at the single-molecule level, developing functional electronic devices from single-molecule and hybrid 2-dimensional systems, and utilizing single-molecule transport properties for biomedical applications.
