个人简介
My thesis focused on the automated segmentation of the hippocampal region of the brain - an important marker of Alzheimer's disease. Since then I have been awarded multiple grants for my work. Over the past decade I have expanded my research into the measurement and associations of imaging-based markers of cerebrovascular disease. I also have a keen interest in symptom development in Alzheimer's and mild cognitive impairment.
My research interests include investigating imaging biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease including brain and hippocampal atrophy and white matter disease. I am particularly interested in the inter-relationships between these imaging biomarkers and Alzheimer’s pathology. Other areas of research of interest include the effects of age, disease presentation and risk factors on Alzheimer’s and its biomarkers.
