个人简介
Joe Rice leads the Remote Sensing Group in the Sensor Science Division of NIST. His research involves developing novel systems for electro-optical instrument calibration, validation, and performance evaluation. These systems have included a NIST primary standard facility for optical power responsivity measurements (POWR) and portable radiometers for transferring NIST radiometric scales to other calibration facilities. Currently he is leading the NIST efforts in development of the Hyperspectral Image Projector (HIP).
He is a member of the American Physical Society (APS), the Optical Society of America (OSA), the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), the Council for the Optical Radiation Measurements (CORM), and the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
